I doubt if properties in Spain would rise in value as fast as those in England. So If you sell your UK property and sometime in the future wanted to return you couldn’t finance a new house in the UK by selling the Spanish one.
Couldn’t you use the rental income from the UK house to pay rent on a place in Spain?
The market in spain is slowing and predicted to do so for the foreseeable future. You will not earn the same rent on Spanish property – the market is flooded with second homes for rent. Stick with wat you have if it is working for you.

anywhere you buy the properties, dont forget the key point is location. the location will affect its value in future.
