A few weeks ago on Richard & Judy they had a story about people losing their land is Spain because Spain is changing its laws willy-nilly. You might want to get more detail on that… You wouldn’t expect that crap from an EU country but its happening!

Spain now is NOT a good place to stick your hard earned cash if your looking for investment options.
Property in Spain is now to high, people have started to look further a field at places like Turkey, rather than Spain and Portugal.
If you look at Turkey the prices for a start and the possibilty of Turkey joining the EU you are better of sticking your cash into a country where prices are still low and are starting to rise and is popular for holiday makers, where you can make a profit.
If you purchase in Spain you will not making much profit in the future if you decide to sell, and to be honest it may be quite difficult to sell in the near future due to investors loooking further a field.
Turkey came 3rd place in best places to purchase property in the world.
Any advice or questions on purchasing property in Turkey feel free to contact myself.
    Good Luck

Prices have crashed recently due to a planning permition argument between the government and the local council authorities, as I understand it the local authorities have given planning permission for many homes which may now be in jeperdy as it contraveins the government guidelines. Some villas have actually been demolished there seems to be a big up roar in the british press because it seems to be affecting alot of ex-pats who have moved over there.
However, if you are careful and make sure any property you look at complys with both the local council and government regulations then chances are that you could get a bargin at the moment as alot of the prices seem to have droped as a result of the worries.
    Hope that helped.
