    With time-share, typically the Management Company organises maintenance etc and charges the time-share holders an annual fee – often this is hundreds of £££’s and way out of proportion to the actual cost of the actual maintenance ….
    If you own a flat or house outright in a shared apartment block or with shared facilities (pool, garage parking etc), I would expect you & the other owners to form your own Managemnet Company for Maintenance etc.
    So it’s the Managemet Company that is responsible for organising maintenence.
    As far as I am aware, Maintenance Contracts are written / renewed on an annual basis – although I guess it is just possible that a Time Share Company has sold the ‘right’ to rip-off the Time Share owners for Maintenance to some-one else …
